Microfilm Publications

We do not lend our microfilm. In general, researchers come to the archives to use it. We have, however, produced microfilm editions of some of our manuscript collections, which are available for purchase:

The University of Notre Dame Libraries own copies of these publications; you can borrow them from the Libraries by way of the Interlibrary Loan system. Many other libraries have purchased these publications; you may be able to find one closer to home.

We also sell microfilm copies of certain newspapers, back issues of the Official Catholic Directory, and microfilm editions of sports periodicals:

For manuscript collections on microfilm, newspapers, and Official Catholic Directories we charge $65 (sixty-five dollars) per reel, plus $10 (ten dollars) shipping and handling for orders of four reels or fewer. Orders of fifteen reels or more are eligible for a ten percent discount; entire sets are available at a further discount. Orders for microfilm publications may be sent to:
